Our Purpose

Our purpose is to provide quality care and instruction for preschool age children that will promote their mental, physical, social, and spiritual development.

Curriculum Overview

Our program is designed to meet the needs of each child through a "hands on" developmentally appropriate approach. Each class, through its curriculum, will provide opportunities for your child to grow and develop in many areas, including:

*Develop oral language skills

*Begin to use problem solving strategies

*Improve social skills

*Develop fine and gross motor skills

*Strengthen skills in listening

*Participate in daily reading activities

*Increase self-confidence and become more independent

*Begin to develop a life-long love of learning.

Registration

An annual registration fee is established to secure your child's classroom placement. This fee is due with the application and is non-refundable.

Activity Fee

The activity fee covers the cost of planned special events that are offered throughout the year. The activity fee is due with the first month's tuition.

Tuition

Tuition fees are set annually. A tuition rates sheet will be available prior to registration.

Hours of Operation

Classroom hours are 9:35 am to 12:35 pm. The extended day classroom hours are 9:35 am to 1:35 pm.

Preschool is in session Monday through Thursday, from September through May. Please click on the links below for more details about individual classes.

*2 1/2 year old classes are for children who are 2 years 6 months old. Children between the ages of 2 and 2 1/2 will be considered if there are openings. These classes meet two days per week.

*3 year old classes are for children who will be 3 by the end of September for the upcoming school year. These classes meet three days per week, and you may choose from a regular day or an extended day class.

*4 year old classes are for children who will turn 4 by the end of September for the upcoming school year. You may choose from a three day class, a four day class, or a four day extended day class.

*Our 5 year old/Pre-kindergarten class is for children who will turn 5 by the end of the calendar year. This is an extended day class.

**The curriculum in all of our 4 year old and 5 year old classes includes kindergarten readiness skills.**

About Our Preschool

Central Baptist Day School began its weekday preschool education program in 1975. We are proud of our school's rich history, and we are committed to providing the best in preschool education. Our teachers provide a warm and loving environment in which children may grown and learn. The Day School is a non-profit organization and exceeds all of the licensing requirements for a religious exempt preschool in the state of Virginia. Central Baptist Day School is a ministry of Central Baptist Church.
